Welcome to my travel and wilderness site. My main focus is here in Australia, though I am providing some information on wilderness areas and issues around the world (particularly through my Blog). However the main focus will always be my own experience of the Australian wilderness and my travels within it.
Things here have been rather static in recent years following various bouts of illness and associated pressures. This however is about to change (hopefully). In the next few months I hope to review and update the site, adding a lot of new and unique content. This will include all of the latest news and multimedia content from my very recent Red Centre Holiday 2016 - Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Watarrka National Park and West Macdonnell National Park (a holiday I had been trying to get on for over 6 years, but was held back by illness and surgery).
So take a look around, bookmark the site and come back regularly to experience all that is happening here. Subscribe to both associated Blogs also for all of the news and views (the latest posts appear in the right column).
For now, that's it - unless I see you on my travels.
I love this country of Australia and want to tell people about what God has put in this wonderful place that I have been privileged to travel around for so many years. I have a mass of material to put up on this site, but have not always kept records of every trip done. The journals, photo galleries and
videos of those trips will be of a more general nature.
I am also adding information about the world's wild places and I am always looking forward to receiving information about them so I can add it to the site.
If you love wilderness, you'll love this site. This site will be reviewed and updated on an ongoing basis, so please come back and check out what's going on from time to time.
If you would like to share stories, photos, videos and the like from your own travels and adventures, please visit my Facebook page at:
'In the Wild' is an online daily newspaper set up for kevinswilderness.com. The paper collates all the links I post to the kevinswilderness.com Twitter account, as well as the links posted by those the account follows. The Twitter account will only have news from kevinswilderness.com and its associated sites posted to it. It will also only follow Twitter accounts relevant
to our website.
In the Wild will be a great way to get daily news from the site, all the latest environmental and wilderness news from respected organizations and that on a daily basis.
