TANK 1: Set Up - 16 April 2005
Today I added 10 Chinese Barbs and 5 Gold Mountain Cloud Minnows to the Yabby Tank. This created instant excitement among the Yabbies, with the loss of 1 Gold Mountain Cloud Minnow during the day. The resulting melee uprooted many of the plants and caused general mayhem in the tank.
Later in the day when things had calmed down somewhat I fed the Yabbies a couple of Earthworms from the garden, with the result being yet another melee among the Yabbies. They fought it out for the earthworms, tearing them apart in the process.
I also cleaned out the filter later in the day, with a lot of silt having been caught up in it as result of setting up the tank, etc.
