WHAT'S ON THIS PAGE:

 

INTRODUCTION:

The Yuraygir National Park protects some 4 000 hectares of important coastal wilderness on the NSW north coast between Yamba and Brooms Head.

The northern section of the park is accessed via the Pacific Highway and the road to Yamba. Turn into Angourie Road and Lakes Boulevard for entrance into the park. The Angourie Visitor Centre is here and a fee paid for entering the park. There are picnic tables and toilets provided also.

The southern section of the park is accessed off the Pacific Highway at Maclean by travelling along the Brooms Head Road. A left turn is taken before Brooms Head and leads into the national park.

 

CAMPING:

Camping ($5.00 per person per day - 2003) and Entry fees ($6.00 per vehicle per day - 2003) apply to Yuraygir National Park.

 

Red Cliff:

Camping facilities are located at Red Cliff.

 

 

WALKING:

Angourie to Red Cliff Track:

This walk is recognised as one of Australia's best coastal walks. It has a number of boardwalks protecting the area.
