GENERAL INFORMATION:

Cape Arid National Park is located about 120km east of Esperance and covers some 280 000 hectares of coastal wilderness area.

Much of the park is 4WD country only, which I've found to be disappointing.

ATTRACTIONS AND SITES TO VISIT:

 

 

WALKING TRACKS:

Mt Ragged/Tower Peak Trail:

This walk is a difficult 3km return walk, but the reward are the views from the top of the mountain. Access is by 4WD only.

 

Tagon Coastal Walk:

The Tagon Coastal Walk is an easy 4 hour return walk (7km) around the coastal headlands of the area. During the walk be on the lookout for whales and seals which frequent the area.

 

CAMPING:

Each of the three camping areas has toilets, BBQs and picnic areas.
